Objective
Select from a variety of creative themes and transform the chosen concept into a realistic visual representation using photo manipulation.
Process
I chose the theme “Fairy Tales Come to Life” and decided to focus on the message of pollution and its impact on our oceans. For the fairy tale, I selected The Little Mermaid and used various images and techniques in Photoshop to bring Ariel to life. One challenge I faced was positioning the original image of the girl (torso up) to appear as though she was sitting. By using the Puppet Warp tool, which I was unfamiliar with, I was able to adjust her arm and seamlessly blend the girl with the mermaid tail.
